A Small CRM for the Car-Team Workshop
Car-Team is a tyre and car workshop in Hammel, Denmark, with 12 employees. Contacts and notes lived in spreadsheets and in people's heads. alpha.ai built a small internal system with three registers instead of a full CRM. Records are archived instead of deleted, so nothing disappears.
Car-Team is a local tyre and car workshop in Hammel near Aarhus with 12 employees. Information about suppliers, partners and internal notes lived in spreadsheets and in the employees' heads. A full CRM would have been overkill. The need was simple: contact lists they could trust, and notes everyone can read.
We built a simple internal web application with three registers: suppliers of goods, partners around the operation, and staff, the last one for admins only. All three work the same way: a list with search across fields and a detail view that slides in from the side. The system is in Danish and carries Car-Team's own branding.
Not every business needs a big CRM with pipelines, campaigns and reports. Car-Team needed three good registers. So that's what the system is: suppliers, partners and staff, shown the same way, so there's only one screen to learn.
Day to day, it's about finding things fast. The search looks across every field, the details slide in from the side, and the notes on each record can be edited by anyone. Preferred suppliers are marked, and nothing is deleted: records are archived so the history stays, and everything can be exported to Excel.
The system is built to be changed. The fields in the three registers are described as a list the system reads, instead of being coded in one by one. When Car-Team wants a new field on the supplier card, it's one line, not a new form, a new table and a new dialog.
Access is controlled: the staff register is for admins only, new users must change their password at first login, and password reset happens in Danish. The system runs on Cloudflare and Supabase.

Records are archived instead of deleted, so the history doesn't disappear. Everything can be exported to Excel.

Car-Team now has one place for the information that used to be scattered. Anyone can find a supplier or a partner in seconds and see the notes colleagues have written. Nothing disappears, because records are archived instead of deleted. And because the system only contains what Car-Team actually uses, it's easy for everyone in the workshop to pick up.
